The other day, one of them ; a man in his 60's, just two hours before the shop closed, came for the second time in this 3 weeks and once, I chatted with him and assisted him into getting a good pair of sports shoes with not a burdensome price.
So when this second time, I knew all along he was the one I assissted the other day. So I approached him first.
"Hi, how are you?"he asked with a friendly smirk, by that I knew that he remembered me.
First, we were in front of Nike shoes then Reebok shoes. But I suggested him to try the Saucony shoes which is suitable for running as he wanted it to be used for treadmill running and Saucony shoes is so much lighter. Then he refused to try since the colour was a bit striking he said. so we had a little argument (not really) because I said the shoes are good because it's lighter (I keep saying that but thank god he wasnt angry) then he jokingly asked me whether I'll buy it for my dad as the colour will never be worn by their age. So I still with my thoughts about the light weight and answered yes. He then asked me to put my hand on my chest and feel whether my heart is beating fast but I said it beats normallly. Then he laughed and compliment me saying that I'm a good sales girl and he likes how I promoted the shoes to him.
Then we were in front of Reebok again and he chose one shoes and asked me to bring his size. When I served him, he asked me whether I just finished high school. He asked what course I'll choose to further my studies. When I said mass communication, he said I'll be good in it. He complimented me some more.
Then I asked him "are you a Malaysian?". His answer went straight into my heart because he sincerely said "If you think I'm a Malaysian then I'm a Malaysian". I laughed and asked for the second time. He answered that he's Indian who lives in Canada but came to Malaysia whenever Canada got colder than ever. Then we continued to talk some more.
But after all what really cheered me up that day was when he told me that someday he will see Miss Husna on astro tv. He kept encouraging me that I was overwhelmed by his warmness in giving me advices and whatnots. When I asked him to fill the customers feedback form he said "oh miss husna is very good in everything, what should i comment?" And he complimented me again in front of the cashier. I was all smile that day thanks to him.
Sir I'll be sure to show up in the tv screen and thank you again for wishes me so well. Im so pleased to know there's still good samaritan going around doing goods to people in this harsh world nowadays.
